Each Windy City Crete™ mold is crafted from Thermoplastic Polyurethane — a high-performance elastomer engineered for strength, flexibility, and longevity. Like all precision materials designed for creative work, its endurance depends on how it’s treated.
Its resilience makes it ideal for repeated concrete casting, but it remains sensitive to environmental extremes. Prolonged exposure to high heat, freezing temperatures, or direct sunlight can lead to warping, softening, or micro-deformation over time. Likewise, excessive force during demolding, twisting, or impact can weaken its structural edges.
